General Description of the Tests
Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+)
- Grades: 3-8
- Subjects: English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies
- The criterion-referenced assessment currently used in Indiana to evaluate academic progress toward mastery of what students should know and be able to do at each grade level
Indiana Reading Diagnostic Assessments
- Grades: K-2
- A series of Informal Reading Assessments
- Standards-based including Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Comprehension as well as Concepts about Print
- Administered three times per year to monitor student progress
- Scored by teachers for immediate feedback and intervention
