About the California Smarter Balanced

The CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) is the current Common Core-based standardized testing for California.  This test replaced the old STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) system in 2014. It is also commonly known as the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment.
