Virginia Alternative and Alternate Assessments - Virginia Grade Level Alternative (VGLA)
- Grades: 3-8 - Students with disabilities that prevent them from accessing the SOL test(s) in a content area, even with accommodations, may participate in the VGLA. - Virginia Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP)
- Grades: 3-8, 11 - Students with the most significant cognitive disabilities
National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) - Grades: 4, 8
- Subjects: United States History, Civics, Geography, Mathematics, Writing
- NAEP has been an operational national assessment since 1969 and Virginia has been part of NAEP testing since 1990.
