- Grades 3-10 - Reading, Writing, and Mathematics
- Grades 4, 8, and 10 – science

- Grades 5 and 7
- Reading, Language, Mathematics (Optional: Vocabulary, Language, Mechanics, Mathematics, Computation, Spelling, Science, Social Studies)
Alternate Assessment (AA) - Assessment of students with significant cognitive disabilities
- Grades 3–10
- Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Science
- To ensure that students with significant cognitive disabilities have access to, participate in, and make progress in the general education curricula, as well as have show what they know and can learn.
National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) - The only nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America's students know and can do in various subject areas
- Grades 4 and 8
- Conducted periodically in reading, mathematics, science, writing, U.S. history, civics, geography, and the arts
- Used to measure national student achievement and to make state-to-state comparisons and state-to-nation comparisons
- The achievement level graphs include information for all NAEP demographic variables: all students, race/ethnicity, eligibility for free/reduced lunch, students with disabilities, and English Language Learners.
