Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examinations (WKCE)

  • Designed to measure Wisconsin academic standards


Wisconsin Alternate Assessment for Students with Disabilities (WAA-SwD)

  • Grades: 3-8, 10
  • Subjects: Reading, Mathematics, Science
  • A standards-based alternative to WKCE
  • Given to students with significant cognitive disabilities if the local IEP team determines that the students are unable to participate in the WKCE, even with accommodations


National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)

  • Grades: 4, 8, 12
  • Subjects: Mathematics, Reading
  • Also known as the Nation's Report Card
  • The only nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America’s students know and can do in school
